we managed to leave the UK behind us, after we nearly got rejected getting into the UK! But the border control people were music fans, so we made it. That was close!
We had an offday driving from Liege, Belgium to Glasgow, Scotland. So, we staed the night in a hotel near Brimingham which was supernice as it was the first day off and everyone was tired from the long drives. We just relaxed and slept the whole time. Touring sometimes is so boring, you wouldnt believe it. :-)
Glasgow was and okay show, so was Cardiff. But gosh, young ladies in Cardiff, please wear more than a shirt when its freezing cold and you are standing outside of the club for 20minutes for smoking three cigarettes. Then was London. It was okay as well. We went to Vietnamese restaurant and that was a really good call. Then Manchester which was by far the best UK show. The "Night and day cafe" is such a nice venue. I like it alot. Also we played with an amazing band called "These monsters" from Leeds. Please check them out - they rock!
And I went to the recordstore across the street. If I had 500 GBP to spend, I would have bought so much records. That sucked. I ended up buying just two records. Before the show we went to an indian restaurant where they had free wireless internet. We are junkies! So while some of us were eating we were answering emails to the worls outside. Nerds!
Bristol was okay. Its a nice city. And oh, we did some crazy stuff. We went and did laundry. Our clothes were stinky as shit, so that was a good move. It was worth getting up earlier. Thanks to Peter, Nicky and Adam for letting us stay at their house.
The drive tomorrow was really, really looong. From Bristol all the way to Reims, France. Three more shows and then we are done. Today we play with "Dark dark dark" from the US who are really nice people and are making some nice folk/ americana. Check it out as well!
Take care,
Timo (for Team FMTM)
