Moscow & the end of the tour

Folks,

we are done. Tour is over! After one month of straight touring, we had our final show last night at "16 Tons Club" in Moscow. The show was perfect for a final show. After some problems with the equipment, everything went smooth. Big thanks to Pavel who set up the show, Boris our crazyass driver, Igor and his crew for doing sound, Roman and of course the one and only Jules
She showed us around today in Moscow. We saw the "Red Square" and the "Kreml" and tons of more interesting stuff. You gotta see it - it´s such a big, but lovely city! We had such a great time and we hope we can come back next year!

Oh, after two minutes drive from the airport to the club we saw tons of police on the highway near a car. Our driver said: "Yeah, someone was shoot!" Crazy - drive-by shooting after being two minutes in this city. Boris said: "Welcome to Moscow!"

So, I gotta go now. I will upload some more pictures maybe tomorrow or the day after!

Later,
Timo (for Team FMTM)

UK

Comrades & friends,

we managed to leave the UK behind us, after we nearly got rejected getting into the UK! But the border control people were music fans, so we made it. That was close!

We had an offday driving from Liege, Belgium to Glasgow, Scotland. So, we staed the night in a hotel near Brimingham which was supernice as it was the first day off and everyone was tired from the long drives. We just relaxed and slept the whole time. Touring sometimes is so boring, you wouldnt believe it. :-)

Glasgow was and okay show, so was Cardiff. But gosh, young ladies in Cardiff, please wear more than a shirt when its freezing cold and you are standing outside of the club for 20minutes for smoking three cigarettes. Then was London. It was okay as well. We went to Vietnamese restaurant and that was a really good call. Then Manchester which was by far the best UK show. The "Night and day cafe" is such a nice venue. I like it alot. Also we played with an amazing band called "These monsters" from Leeds. Please check them out - they rock!

And I went to the recordstore across the street.  If I had 500 GBP to spend, I would have bought so much records. That sucked. I ended up buying just two records. Before the show we went to an indian restaurant where they had free wireless internet. We are junkies! So while some of us were eating we were answering emails to the worls outside. Nerds!

Bristol was okay. Its a nice city. And oh, we did some crazy stuff. We went and did laundry. Our clothes were stinky as shit, so that was a good move. It was worth getting up earlier. Thanks to Peter, Nicky and Adam for letting us stay at their house.

The drive tomorrow was really, really looong. From Bristol all the way to Reims, France.  Three more shows and then we are done. Today we play with "Dark dark dark" from the US who are really nice people and are making some nice folk/ americana. Check it out as well!

Take care,
Timo (for Team FMTM)

FMTM in Europe through Sergio's camera...

Well, with only 8 days left I've finally gotten to blogging. Unfortunately routing of this tour's been insane, leaving little time think or rest, much less blog. We pretty much wake, drive, soundcheck, play, sleep, repeat. Haven't had a single day off except for yesterday so we could break up a 10+ hour drive in two from Belgium to Scotland. Here's some of what I've seen. (The other two seem allergic to cameras.) Sergio / FMTM

The rough setlist, as played in NYC.

Most of what we see daily...

Gotta stay up on bad television.

Fresh air cuz the van smells.

Charming.

Francis in soundcheck in Nantes, France before his vertigo spell...yup, he passed out.

Matthew in soundcheck in Nantes, France.

Me during soundcheck in Nantes, France.

The first time I've seen snow since I was 9.

Berlin, Hamburg and sad news...

Yo!

Berlin was a great show. The soundguy was a schlomo though! There were tons of people and I finally met a person I just had longtime talks in the internet world - my promotion firm dude called Magnus! Good work so far and keep your head up high. You must dominate!

The day after Berlin we finally had some time to do some stuff like sighseeing or meeting friends. I met my friend Kassen who played in Lack! We had some nice vegan burger ar Yellow Sunshine who was actually really good this time. The last times it was not really that good to be honest.

We drove to Hamburg and of coruse were late as always. The show was cool and after  the show there was a great jam-session until 2am in the morning. Killer! And oh, afterwards A.Armada went to see the Reeperbahn for the first time - the old folks in FMTM and myself went to bed. We need rest!

So, now the sad news. A.Armada are not playing any other shows. At the Dortmund show we got an email from Matthias @ Dial Booking that he didnt get to book more than one show for 8 more shows after the bands split. And we called him three times and I personally emailed and texted him several times about this and then he sent a fucking email and didnt have the guts to even call us and tell us! Thsi fucking sucks and Iam not goign to work anymore with Dial Booking again. You suck, douchebag!

Timo (this is not an FMTM post, just Timo from Golden Antenna to make sure that this is my comment on the fucked up situation!)

Graz, Brno and Wiesbaden

Dudes and dudettes,

sorry for the delay in updates, but we dont have much time to do extraordinary stuff. We are busy driving, and driving and driving....but the drive from Munich to Graz was beautiful. Well, at least the bands thought that! :-)

In Graz we went to this amazing restaurant for dinner called "Ginko" - check it out please. It`s so amazing - support it! The show itself was okay - really smokey. After the show, late at night, we went to this amazing "Bratwurst-Stand" - well, I didnt go. I already ate too much yummy food at Ginko. Vegan!

The drive to Brno was rather short and we arrived a little early. JIrka, amazing promoter, broguht us this super tasty vegan salami. I ate it all! :-) The show was suuper packed. A.Armada had some problems with the power, but other than that it was a really great show! Thanks to Martin for letting us stay at his apartment and for the great breakfast.

Wiesbaden: hell, that was a drive. Eight fucking hours. But somehow it was the easiest drive for me - I dont know why though. Wiesbaden was a cool show for a Sunday. The aftershow party lasted until 4.30 in the morning. Glad, that I didnt sleep at the venue. The guys in A.Armada all got super hammered - they are young partyboys. :-)

Alright, more tomorrow about the Berlin & Hamburg show!

Thanks for the support,
Timo (for Team FMTM)

Karlsruhe & München

Folks,

so, right now its 9.00 after the show in Munich and today we go to Graz in Austria. We just hope that there wont be any snow on the drive. That would suck!

Karlsruhe was great. We played with Caspian - but we were definetly better! :-) Some people have a cold - Matthew infected Francis who is now sick as well. On the drive from Karlsruhe Jeremy from A.Armada saw for the second time in his life snow - that is crazy. He was freaking out.

In Munich it was an alright show. Nice people, the crowd was into the show, but the sound was not that good and it was the least attended show with 65 people. But we had Marco and his friends coming all the way from Luzern to this show - they drive four horus just to see us. Crazy! Its cool to see that people still make efforts to see their favorite bands! I hope you guys had a safe trip back home. Next time we hit Switzerland - at least that is the plan! ;-)

And oh, last night we had Thai food and after that we were all lined up for the toilet as it was really spicy...haha.

So, that`s it right now. We are going to do laundry now. I hope it works out because otherwise it will get stinky the next days in the van - just kidding! :-)

Talk soon,
Timo-
